How to set up InspectorCam

Step-by-step guide for setup and connection

1. Download the app

Download the InspectorCam2.0 app from
Apple App Store / Google Play.

(Inspectorcam2.0 must be written
without spaces).

2. Connect and turn on the device.

1. Connect the camera cable to the WiFi device

Insert the cable into the port labeled "Camera" on the WiFi device.

2. Turn on the WiFi device

Press and hold the Power button until the device turns on.

The power button and the "Camera" port are on the same side of the device.

3. Connect your phone to InspectorCam

1. Open WiFi settings on your phone.

2. Find and select the network named InspectorCam-XXXX .

3. Enter the one-time password: 12345678 .

4. Start the inspection

1. Open the InspectorCam2.0 app on your phone.

2. Tap "View Photo/Video" to view live images from the camera.

To turn off the camera: double -click the Power button on the WiFi device.

Troubleshooting and common problems

Solve common problems

1. Is the camera battery properly charged?

Both the blue (power) and green (Wi-Fi) lights should be steady. If one or both lights blink after 10-15 seconds, you need to charge the battery. (See image 1)

Use the included micro-USB cable and make sure to plug it in where it says "Charging". (See picture 2)

2. Is the camera cable connected to the battery correctly?

Remove the cable and plug it back in. Make sure to plug it in where it says "Camera", not "Charging".

It says “ Camera ” above the port for the camera cable.

And it says " Charging " above the port for charging.

3. Have you connected your phone to InspectorCam correctly?

InspectorCam creates its own wireless network that you must connect your phone to. You do this in exactly the same way as with your home network. Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your phone and select the network called "Inspectorcam......". When your phone indicates that you are connected to the network, you can enter the "InspectorCam 2.0" app.

Yes! InspectorCam has an IP67 waterproof rating, meaning it withstands water and dust – perfect for pipe inspection or use in humid environments.

Does InspectorCam work with all phones?

Yes, the camera works with both Android and iPhone. You connect via Wi-Fi and use our app to view and save recordings.

How long does the battery last?

The battery lasts about 90 minutes per charge. You can easily recharge it via USB.

Do I need my own network to connect to InspectorCam?

No. InspectorCam’s battery acts as a small router and creates its own WiFi network.

The hook falls off. What should I do?

The hook, magnet, and mirror are attached by inserting the end into one of the small holes at the end of the camera. Then slide the black rubber band over it to secure it in place.

The image is unstable. What should I do?

If you experience an unstable image, the cause may be low battery power. Fully charge the battery and try again.
